Buy from an Authorized Dealer - Have peace of mind.
Sealed warranty, registered serial number are some of the advantages you have when you buy from Pen Boutique Ltd. We are 100% Authorized dealer of the product. Pen Boutique even goes to the extent that when you order with engraving we do the engraving with Montblanc or Cartier or the respective manufacturer to keep the warranty in-tact. There is no cutting corner for even engraving. Montblanc and Cartier charges us $25 and we give it our customers for $25.
Please be aware that only authorized dealers like Pen Boutique can stamp the warranty to make it fully effective with the luxury goods manufacturer. It may surprise you that most of the unique serial number from Montblanc, Cartier is registered with the manufacturer to be traced with the authorized dealer to whom they have sold.
- What is Pen Boutique's "100% Authorized Dealer commitment"?
It may surprise you that today not even buying from authorized dealers is safe. For reason of competition and lower bidding price, some mix (authorized and "grey market purchase"( you might be surprised as to how many sources call us everyday to get rejected from us!)) and sell it to the unsuspecting customers. So, if you fall in the lucky category, then you might get an authorized piece.
Pen Boutique on the other hand rejects any such efforts by "grey market sellers" and only source it from authorized manufacturer distributor in USA. That is the 100% authorized dealer commitment from Pen Boutique. We are one of the few dealers who follow this commitment. We believe that profits come after we can serve customers with honesty first.
- What is validated manufacturer warranty?
The warranty card/booklet given by the manufacturer is not valid UNTIL it is sealed by an authorized dealer. The authorized dealers should stamp the warranty, mention the date of purchase (or give a receipt for that date) and fill up the serial number. These three are the ones which make it valid
- How does the manufacturer know from where it is bought?
Major dealers like Montblanc, Cartier, Montegrappa have now a serial number registering practice. The serial number of the pen is registered in their system as shown sold to Pen Boutique. So, at the time of repair or even when you evaluate the value of the pen in future, it needs to be bought from the authorized dealer with the date of the warranty. Moreover, in Pen Boutique receipt we note down the serial#, in case you have to refer it to that in future.
- Alright, I can live without that warranty, what is the big deal… I am getting much lower price from some other place?
Frankly, that is the buyers choice. But in the race for saving money, one can get burnt or even be sold a counterfeit. It may be an old pen or refurbished with a pen polish or worst a good replica. Worst of it, you may gift it to someone and later when they look for refill will they know that it was a “replica” Montblanc or Cartier ( we have seen this in our store so many times. It looks like a Montblanc so much that it even has a “dummy ” serial number) Warranty is only one part of what buying from an authorized dealer helps. Peace of mind and your status in the community which is more important. That is priceless
