Graf Von Faber-Castell Pen of the Year 2015 Platinum Fountain Pen

The Graf Von Faber-Castell Pen of the Year 2015 Fountain Pen Platinum is designed after the New Palace of Sanssouci, located on the western side of the Sanssouci royal park in Potsdam. Erected by Frederick the Great, the construction of the great palace was a result of the success of Prussia in the Seven Years War. Frederick the Great had a lot of interest in Silesia’s abundant resources of colored natural stones, and hence had the palace elaborately decorated in precious stones such as Chrysoprase and the green serpentine. Since, the palace’s style and design was largely influenced by Frederick the Great’s personal taste, the style itself is known as “Frederician Rocco”. The same style and decoration is seen in the GVFC Pen of the Year 2015. The green effect, which is largely seen in the palace due to the use of stones which ranged from emerald green to apple green, is also seen in the pen.
