The Visconti's Van Gogh Self Portrait Fountain Pen. Visconti Van Gogh Impressionist Collection, the Van Gogh Self Portrait in Blue. Swirls of navy blue, red and white envelope the turquoise barrel, revealing a final resin so beautiful Van Gogh himself would have been proud. Van Gogh was a prolific self-portraitist, who painted himself 37 times, the Self Portrait in Blue was painted in 1889.
