Smokey Quartz is a great name for brown. But Brown ink? My mother always said “try it, and you might like it”. So I did. And I do. This is a medium to dark brown color, with just a bit of shading to it, which makes me like it even more. On Tomoe River paper with a Medium nib Pilot Metro, there is a slight but nice variation in the color of the lines. With a Rhodia Pocket Notebook, the shading is less, but the ivory page is a good backdrop. On a Baron Fig dot grid Mastermind pad with irony colored paper, this ink looks fabulous. No issues with hard starts or skipping. Mom was right, again.
Brown color is great, reminds me of antique script writing , I think this color should be available in the main line of Pelikan inks, not just a special edition one time. It is that good and nice of a color.
Great item and fast shipping.
