For over 200 years Pineider has amassed fame for printing, writing and leather goods from its home in Florence. In cooperation with Carbon Dream, established in Italy in 1993 as a world leader in the manufacture of products derived from composite materials, Pineider created the first pen ever made in Forged Carbon with the help of Carbon Dream engineers and technicians. Forged Carbon utilizes the strength and light weight of carbon fiber in a composition with resin that allows the body of a writing implement to create complex curves and gives every product a unique fiber pattern.

In Pineider's patented "twist magnetic lock converter" closure system, polarization of magnets in a screw cap makes for a soft opening and even more satisfying closure: you can open the pen slowly or you can watch it rotate on itself in your fingers while waiting to hear the pen close securely.
