Diplomat Aero 14K Fountain Pen - Orange .The Aero collection is popular for smooth lines and streamlined body. The collection features full aluminum casing, anodized surfaces and grooves on the barrel and cap. The fountain pens are finely chiseled and polished with a 14k bi-color nib. Please note: The Aero pens are anodized. During the anodization process, the raw aluminum parts are placed on a metallic appliance. This is necessary to start the electrolytic process, which always needs a direct current to bring the color into/onto the Aluminium. During the anodizing process at this metallic appliance flows the direct current. The appliance makes it impossible to start the anodizing process at this part. So this leads to the metal-looking stripes inside the cap or barrel.
