The new navy blue material is stylish and accented nicely with contrasted red stitching. A rich red fabric with Esterbrook Eternity logo step and repeated throughout the interior. To secure the pen within the interior, a soft pillow like cushion is added with an elastic band to further hold the pens in place. The pens no longer slide up and down.

The new function for accessing the pens is rather than sliding out the tray, the cover now acts as a hinged door to the inside. One can open the cover from the top for nearly complete view of the pens and the remaining smaller hinged cover opens for complete view. The cover connects nicely to the base with a magnetic closure that is embossed with Esterbrook Eternity symbol.
