Around the World in Eighty Days is the famous adventure novel by the French writer Jules Verne, published in 1872. In the story, Phileas Fogg, a wealthy British gentleman, and his newly employed French valet, Passepartout, attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days on a £20,000 wager set by his friends at the Reform Club. The Journey departs from London by train at 8:45 p.m. on 2 October, via Suez, Bombay, Hong Kong, Yokohama, San Francisco, New York and it must finish at the club by this same time on 21 December, 80 days later. The second special edition collection of “Around the World in 80 Days” reflects the adventure of Mr. Fogg and Passepartout on their journey from Bombay to Yokohama.

DESIGN & DETAILS:

The clip is embellished with a red lacquered diamond and the cone is engraved with a pattern inspired by Princes Aouda‘s jewellery and the card suits symbolizng Mr. Fogg‘s wager. 

The caps feature the majestic elephant Kiouni who travels with Mr Fogg and Passepartout through the jungles of India and guides him to meet his love Princess Aouda.

The nib features the hot air balloon, a homage to the author Jules Verne and his first ever adventure novel Five Weeks in a Balloon, highlighting the start and end date of the journey from Bombay to Yokohama.
