I ordered the 2017 Smokey Quartz M200 broad nib Pelikan after falling in love with my Olivine Green 2018 version (my first Pelikan). These pens are so well balanced, nicely made, and the nibs are so smooth. I am going to have to use some serious self control not to end up with a whole “flock”.
This pen is a medium and what I would consider a true medium. I have always liked the Pelikan 200 series and have three of them. This one writes very smooth with enough flex to make it interesting. The Smokey quartz ink goes great with it.
Awesome writer. A birthday gift from my wife.
I have been ambivalent about it. I have not used it. I thought it would be translucent but the one I received is hardly translucent. I looked at another pen which I put in my cart: it's the Parker Premier soft brown. Any suggestions?
It is the right size, shape, and weight for my hand and pocket. The European extra fine can approach Japanese extra fine when the nib is used upside down. It always writes smoothly no matter the paper.
