Namiki Vanishing Point Decimo - best writing pen around

I just bought the new Decimo edition of the Pilot-Namiki Vanishing Point pen. Service from Pen Boutique couldn't have been better. I've had 2 previous VP pens, the first was small and light and then some years later they came out with a bigger heavier plastic or lacquer though the pen mechanism probably hasn't changed. These pens are quirky and goofy looking but are utilitarian. When you click it open you're always ready to write; you don't usually have to coax the ink to flow and I use the extra-fine nib, plus it doesn't usually leak even when you drop it with the nib closed. And there's no cap to lose. What happens to me is that after dropping it enough times, the front end cracks and then clicking it open is a challenge. I usually use the cartridge and fill it with a syringe from a bottle since it's cheaper than buying cartridges. Also a cartridge holds slightly more ink than the converter. An improvement is that you now get a piston type converter that is more reliable than the older squeezable rubber bladder type.

Fantastic pen. A light weight version of the vanishing point.

Love this pen. Was waiting for it for some time. I love it. Writes smooth and amazingly good.
