|Compatibility||Waterman Fountain Pen|
this ink is good for vintage pens and for testing nib alignment and smoothing. i alternate between blue and black (waterman, pelikan 4001) and some sheaffer skrip red.
Bottle is cut like a diamond. Lovely. "Wet" ink flows smoothly and generously from my Pelikan. This is my first Waterman ink, but it won't be my last.
Waterman Serenity Blue (formerly called Florida Blue) is a great all-around go-to ink. It is moderately wet and causes absolutely NO problems for either antique or new fountain pens. It is a great test ink to determine if your nib is having problems (hard starts, skipping, etc.) and you want to narrow the problem down to either nib or ink. Very easy to clean-up with no staining. I use this straight and also to make up a batch of Binder Blurple ( same color as PR Tanzanite without all the ex-lax problems PR Tanzanite is known for.) Great easy to use stable bottle makes fitting piston, lever, and coverter fillers a snap! The faceted glass bottle lets you lay it on its side to get the last few milliliters of ink, and best of all is the price!
