Kolo Tino Fountain Pen - Raw Brass

Say Hello to “Tino”
New from Kolo, the Tino pen fits a standard international short cartridge, as well as Kaweco’s Foldable Converter for those who want to use bottled ink. Named after one of the designers, this made-in-Czech-Republic pen features a stainless steel Schmidt nib and slips easily into a pocket or bag.
One unique thing about the Tino is its semi-triangular shape- the flat sides are lightly brushed and the bevels are polished. The shape also prevents the pen from rolling on a tilted surface without the need of a clip!
The Raw* Brass Tino is similar in dimensions to the Brass Kaweco Sport, both capped and posted. The Tino is a touch heavier, but anyone who is used to the solid-metal-body Sports will find this comfortable as well.
*A note about “raw” brass: the finish on this pen will continually change over time with exposure to moisture, oils, and friction; the appeal of this is that you will end up with a pen that is unique to your specific use. This is a property inherent to raw brass; some other manufacturers choose to add a clear finish or treatment on top of the metal to prevent it from changing. If you want to “reset” your pen’s patina, remove the nib and cartridge use a cotton swab soaked with lemon juice or white vinegar to gently rub away the markings.
